Litters Due
All our dogs have Hip/Elbow, eye and mouth and also the very debilitating JLPP Certificates before breeding.
Our breeding programme conforms to the NRCA Code of Ethics for good breeding practices , with every reasonable effort taken to eliminate inherited faults.
At the end of 2016 we became aware of an inherited disease in Rottweilers for which there is no cure and affected dogs usually die before their 1st birthday. This is called JLPP (Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy). As soon as we became aware of this disease responsible breeders started testing all our breeding dogs.
As this is a recessive gene it require 2 carriers to be bred together to produce affected pups, so by informed breeding and mandatory testing we can as breeders prevent this debilitating disease from taking the lives of any more young puppies.
What can I do as a purchaser :
Before buying a Rottweiler puppy make sure both parents have been tested for JLPP and that you have viewed the Certificates of testing for both parents, and ascertain that at least one parent is classified ‘CLEAR’.
