SHADOWMAKER KENNELS are a selective kennels Established in 1982 and situated in the picturesque Ferguson Valley just south of Perth. I was born in Germany migrated to Australia as a young man, and have never lost that love for the true working power of the Rottweilers I remembers from my home land.
It is this love that drives us to now specialise in breeding Rottweilers with large bone & substance combined with that true hard working temperament, while at the same time incorporating correct structure and beauty. All the bloodlines we have chosen to incorporate in our breeding programme come from only the best German working lines.
Our bitches are our biggest strength, we breed only from the strongest bitches with the best bloodlines to compliment our selection of males. This is how we ensure enduring quality and strength in our progeny.
We strive to breed the complete protection dog for the working environment and at the same time a fearless family companion, and believe this can be achieved with careful selection of bloodlines which have both superb working drive and that strong, calm intelligent temperaments. This combined with good size and substance desired in an imposing working dog is in our opinion the way Rottweilers were originally designed.
Being a selective kennels affords us the opportunity to spend maximum time training and socialising the dogs. All litters are brought up in a family environment with children and other dogs, so when they go to their new homes they have already had exposure to many different situations.
All our dogs have Hip, Elbow, eye and mouth certificates and are also tested for the very debilitating JLPP before breeding , our breeding programme adopts the principals of the NRCA for good breeding practices , and we are ethical breeders and members of the Australian National Kennel Club through Dogswest, with every reasonable effort taken to eliminate inherited faults.
